However the rest of her family had other opinions. Before her sophomore year, Emily's parents practically forced her to move to the South in a small town called McEwen, Tennessee. They made her leave her best friends, her crush, her life, and her home for a country side house on the lake. Of course Emily was furious with her parents about their decision, but they acted as if they didn't care. What Emily didn't know was that her entire life was going to be turned around for the better because of this move, and it would take everything in her power to be able to hold onto the life she left behind.

The burning smoke left a scar in her mind. Her family was dead, all except for her. The authorities say it was just an accident fire, but Ivy Holland knew that there was something more to her family's death. It was only a matter of time until a messenger arrived explaining as best as he could before placing Ivy into the Supernatural Academy for training.
